ITHACA, N.Y. -- The top-ranked gymnastics team (6-1) beat third-ranked Springfield 182.225 to 181.775. Ithaca's winning effort featured a school-record score of 46.775 on the vault.
Senior
Nancy Patterson (Lakeland/Yorktown) won the balance beam with a score of 9.150 and senior
Krystal Kaminski (Churchville-Chili) tied for first in the floor exercise (9.600). Junior
Kelly Stevison (Osborn Park/Manassas, Va.) posted a first-place score of 36.525 in the all-around; she’s ranked first nationally in that and is also ranked second in the floor exercise and fourth in the vault. Junior
Chelsie Veilleux (Nashua/Nashua, N.H.), who is ranked third nationally in the uneven bars, took second on that apparatus.
The Bombers compete at Division I Cornell next Saturday against the host Big Red, Division I Towson State and Division II Bridgeport.
